Condo Master Bedroom Tour

Hello, hello!
Today I'm going to give you the tour of our itsy bitsy former master bedroom. See below for sources. Click here for an overview/tour of the whole condo.
This space didn't get shown much on the blog -- probably because it is not my favourite room. It always felt pretty cramped and in need of a makeover, which for budget reasons never happened. The space is a hodge podge of leftover furniture that we brought with us when we moved from Toronto to NYC, and not all that well suited for the space. But, in the interest of keeping it real, I'll give you the tour anyway.

Let's backtrack... This space started off with an icky brass builder grade light (full of dead bugs, as I discovered when taking it down), dated taupe carpet and hunter green walls. We painted the whole room in Behr's Linen White and added a very inexpensive chandelier.
That chandelier looks like crystal but is actually all plastic and was found on the clearance rack at our local Home Depot. We added a decorative ceiling medallion when installing it and couldn't believe how much it, along with paint, changed the room. More on the light here

Here's some more shots of the room. First, how it looked a couple of years ago.
Then, how it looked before we moved out.
And on many many nights, the room ended up gaining one special accessory in the middle of the night.
And lastly, here it is when we were all cleared out. Bye bye, bedroom!

  4. I always wanted a chandelier but my husband always think it is too feminine but next time I definitely put chandelier somewhere in our home. Love yours eventhough it's not crystals. you did a great job on those rooms.
